Get ready to dig in + discover the magic beneath our feet! Join us on Friday, July 10th for a hands-on Farm School session all about the wiggly wonders of the soil—worms. Young learners will explore the important role worms play in recycling nutrients, enriching the soil, and helping plants grow strong and healthy. With guidance from a worm expert at Wildwood Hills Ranch, students will uncover fascinating facts about these tiny but mighty helpers—learning what worms need to thrive, from food and air to space to grow. Then it’s time to dig in! Children will observe live worms up close + even help sift through nutrient-rich worm castings to see firsthand how worms work their magic in the garden. Our friends from the West Des Moines Public Library will join us for a delightful, nature-themed story. It’s a morning full of discovery, curiosity, and just the right amount of farmyard fun, perfect for budding gardeners + little explorers alike!
