

Step into the enchantment of Rose Farm’s blooming gardens for a two-hour watercolor workshoppe that celebrates nature at its prettiest. Guests will wander through the flower gardens, gathering their own hand picked bouquet to use as inspiration. From there, we’ll settle into the Rose Farm Garden Pavilion, where artist Christine Hilbert will lead a relaxed, joyful exploration of watercolor painting. Christine will demonstrate approachable techniques for capturing texture, movement, and the vibrant colors found all around the pavilion doors. All materials are provided, and each guest will enjoy a complimentary beverage as they paint, unwind, and soak up the magic of the farmstead.. All skill levels are warmly encouraged to join in this creative outdoor escape.

Christine Hilbert is a mixed media artist and jewelry designer based in Winterset, Iowa. She combines vintage treasures of all kinds to create artwork and jewelry that echoes the past. Christine earned her BFA from Iowa State University and also studied painting at the Savannah College of Art & Design. She is the Artist in Residence for The Well Women’s Ministry in Des Moines as well as for Ballet Des Moines Winter 2016 season. She works as a designer for her accessory line, Bean & the Sprout.
