Chief Inspiration Officer

Karri invites you to experience the beauty and peace at Rose Farm. A lover of life, animals and all living things, Karri's farm is a reflection of the commitment she has made to leave this world a better place. She's an old soul who finds purpose in caring for the world around her. The minute you pull up to the white farmhouse and see the chickens happily grazing, and spot the vivid colors of the floral gardens, you will quickly understand that it is passion which has built this dream.

Rose Farm is a place to find your passion, elevate your knowledge, and take a sabbatical from life.

"Our dream is to help you take a sabbatical from your everyday, to stop and smell the 'roses' on your life journey, and experience the magic of nature here at the farm." – Karri + Patrick

Life should be celebrated — and Rose Farm is the place for those celebrations of life’s occasions, big and small. Southern hospitality is at the heart of Rose Farm — home-brewed sweet tea is always on tap, and everyone is welcome to enjoy everything the farm has to offer. From a farm-to-table dinner with friends and family, to a Sunday afternoon learning about dahlia varieties and the Monarch Waystation, you’ll instantly feel at home at Rose Farm.

The Setting

Travel just 20 minutes outside the city center of Des Moines, and be greeted by the beauty of Rose Farm, family-owned and lovingly managed by Flower Farmers Karri and Patrick Rose. With 25 acres of sprawling ground, you will find yourself immediately transplanted to a place of tranquility. The white farmhouse set against the backdrop of deep rolling hills, and the charming, idyllic barn housing The Shoppe at Rose Farm, are neatly nestled on the property. Experience the sweet aroma + vivid colors of seasonal flowers blooming abundantly in our gardens. Step inside the picturesque greenhouse, featured in Midwest Living + Better Homes and Garden Farmhouse, or take a stroll to the two-acre pond where you'll find sweeping pasture views. Enjoy a farm to table dinner under the Garden Pavilion while the sun sets and blankets with the farm with a warm golden glow. Stay over at our guest home, Victoria's House, where Southern hospitality meets magic as you gather eggs from the coop, harvest florals from the gardens, and enjoy a sabattical in the countryside.
