Whoooo Loves Owls

Whoooo Loves Owls? Join us on Friday, June 10th for a fascinating Farm School session all about these mysterious, wide-eyed wonders. Together, we’ll explore what makes an owl an owl, from their silent flight + sharp talons to their incredible nighttime adaptations. We’ll discover different species, where they live, how they hunt, and why they play such an important role in our ecosystem. Ready for some hands-on discovery? Roll up your sleeves for an owl pellet dissection + uncover the secrets of what owls eat. We’re thrilled to welcome the experts from Annett Nature Center, who will introduce us to a very special guest, a live owl! Our friends from the West Des Moines Public Library will share a delightful owl-themed story. It’s a morning full of discovery, wonder, and just a little bit of “whooo,” perfect for curious kids + nature lovers alike!
