Welcome to The Art of Floral Styling. Grab an apron and garden shears, and meet us in the gardens to begin this three-hour workshoppe. Guests will tour the farm and learn about the seasonal flowers, herbs and greenery growing in the gardens. Next, guests will harvest flowers of their choosing and head into The Shoppe to begin a styling + design lesson. Guests will be encouraged to use creativity to create a stunning arrangement in a Rose Farm vessel with guided instruction. If you love fresh flowers in your home, love to host parties + celebrations, and want to learn tips + tricks for styling like a pro, this workshoppe is for you. All skill levels are welcome, and a complimentary beverage is included.

If you have contacted the farm, then you have more than likely spoken to our incredible celebration + design coordinator, Julie Mason. Julie has a beautiful gift for design + finds much joy in curating beautiful celebrations tailored to our Rose Farm guests. With a background in graphic design, Julie is able to bring our guest's special day to life through detailed sketches. Her sweet spirit puts everyone at ease. Julie plays a big role at the farm, designing florals, menus, and storyboards, as well as managing other important details for special celebrations. When she's not at the farm, Julie is busy keeping up with her three beautiful children + husband. They love wandering through national parks but will always love the city of Des Moines, too. As an artist in the Des Moines area, Julie is also passionate about creating gorgeous landscapes and florals with acrylic paint and a palette knife.
