Have you fallen in love with our feathered friends at Rose Farm yet? If so, this is your chance to learn how to start a flock of your very own! Join 13-year-old chicken enthusiast, Remi Smith from HER ACRES, along with 11-year-old Ellie, and 7-year-old Hadley, for a fun and informative presentation all about backyard chickens. Together, we’ll explore why raising hens is so rewarding, how to choose the right breed for your lifestyle, and how to turn chicken waste into garden gold through composting. Our Rose Farm team will also share the scoop on breeding, raising and showing chickens at the local fairs. We'll wrap things up with a lively Q + A session where no question is too small (or too silly!). This session is perfect for curious kids, future chicken keepers, and anyone who loves a little farmyard fun. Come ready to learn, laugh, and maybe fall in love with chickens!
