Join us on Friday, June 13th to learn all about barnyard animals! We know Old McDonald had a farm, but today guests will learn what it's like to have a farm in the Iowa countryside. Students will have the opportunity to see many special guests - goats, a pony, chickens and rabbits. Our friends from HER Acres, featuring 12-year-old Remi Smith, will share more about caring for barnyard animals, along with fun facts about their habitat and their feeding habits. Students will have the opportunity to have a photo with the animals. Our friends from the West Des Moines Public library will join us for a story. NEW for 2025, a reservation is required! Rose Farm will release tickets every Monday (mark your calendar for June 9th) for the upcoming Friday Farm School. The farm will host 50 children at each session. There is no fee to attend and tickets are complimentary to every child. You are welcome to bring along your lawn chair or a blanket. Our lessons and stories are geared towards school-age children. However, we welcome guests of all ages as there are sensory experiences beneficial to even the youngest guest. You'll also find sweet treats and drinks available for purchase in The Shoppe.
