A Practical Guide to Growing, Gathering + Photographing Florals

Join us to expand your knowledge on growing, gathering + photographing your backyard landscape. In this 2.5 hour workshoppe, master gardener Karri Rose will discuss the seasons of growing a bounty of color, along with gathering textures + a variety of palettes. Karri will be joined by accomplished photographer Molly Wood, who will explore simple photography techniques any photographer, whether amateur or advanced, can put to use in a meaningful way.

Each guest will have three varying containers + vessels in which florals will be styled under the instruction of Karri Rose. After the styling is complete, Molly Wood will photograph the styled florals in the Rose Farm greenhouse, as she provides instruction, tips + tricks for flawless photography. All materials + tools are included. A complimentary beverage is also included. Guests will receive their photos after the workshoppe is complete.


Molly Wood produces commercial photo shoots for Better Homes and Gardens products.  In her free time, she is a botanical photographer who is inspired by the history of plants and the influence of Dutch still life photographs. She has held solo exhibitions at the Dubuque Museum of Art and the Sioux City Art Center where she has work in their permanent collection. Her work is in the corporate collections of JP Morgan Chase, Farm Bureau, Principal Financial and Bankers Trust and she is represented by Olson-Larsen Galleries.
